Le 11/24/2011 par Jamie's answer Hi Richard,Thanks for your interesting question.Waters differ in terms of origin, mineral content… and pH. While pure water might have a pH of 7 (i.e. neutral), this is not the case for all waters, the pH of which depends on the water’s origin. Indeed the pH of different waters generally ranges from 4.5 to 8.5 – with 1.0-6.9 being acidic and 7.1-14 being alkaline. There is no health-based guideline value for the pH of drinking water as it does not pose a risk to the health of consumers. Nor is pH a significant factor affecting the taste of water. Nestlé Waters is committed to providing consumers with great tasting bottled water products with the Nestlé quality guarantee. Our products comply with all laws and regulations, including product quality and consumer safety, relevant to our business.
